In today’s technology-driven world, data is like the raw diamond, and Data Science is the mining infrastructure set-up that makes the data useful for transforming the world. Without the presence of an enormous amount of data, the self-regulating systems cannot be created. So, Data Science in 2020 would be all about crunching huge amounts of data for Business Analytics.
In simple words, Data Science is a comprehensive study of data collected by various organizations for their business purposes. It involves the
analysis of the gliding data over the Internet through various data analysis tools.
Mathematics and Statistics: Linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, statistical inference, and data visualisation.
Programming and Data Analysis: Python, R, SQL, data cleaning and preprocessing, data wrangling and manipulation, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and data visualization.
Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence: supervised learning (e.g., regression, classification), unsupervised learning (e.g., clustering, dimensionality reduction), reinforcement learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.
Big Data Technologies: Distributed Computing, Cloud Computing, Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL Databases
Domain-Specific Applications: Industry-specific applications of data science such as financial analytics, social media analytics, and marketing analytics.
Soft Skills: Include communication skills, collaboration, project management, and ethical considerations related to data science.
According to an IBM report, Data Science jobs would likely grow by 30 percent. The estimated figure of job listing is 2,720,000 for Data Science in 2020. Also, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 11 million jobs will be created by 2026.
India is expected to see 1.5 lakh new job openings in data science this year, which is an increase of about 62% from last year, according to a report prepared by an edtech firm. A majority of these jobs would preferably be for professionals with less than five years of experience.Jan 20,2020
For three years in a row, the role of a data scientist has been named the number one job in the US by Glassdoor. According to a report by the US Bureau of Labour Statistics, the rise of data science needs will create roughly 11.5 million job openings by 2026. The World Economic Forum predicts that by 2022, data scientists and analysts will become the number
one emerging role in the world.
B.Tech – Data Science prepares professionals into existing and advancing systems identified with Big Data. Enormous Data Analytics assists association with tackling their information and use it to distinguish new chances. Successful graduates will be employed for Design Engineering, Computing/IT Consulting and Solution-Developing, System/Network Administrators or IT Managers. The normal Data Science pay scale is about ₹708,012. A fresher in Data Science gets paid about ₹500,000 per annum even with less then one year of experience.
